BIOGRAPHY
A Belgian citizen living in the Philippines, Jeff trained with British potters mainly from the Leach School.
The introduction of Jeff in the field of pottery was a happy accident. As a contributor to a newspaper he had to write a review of Michael Cardew’s pottery exhibition in Brussels in 1976.
Unable to get sufficient technical information from the exhibit’s curator, he sought information from books. Luckily, he found Bernard Leach’s “A Potter’s Book” an extremely useful and inspiring reference about pottery in the East and West.
Jeff’s fascination for pottery began there. This led him to pottery courses in the UK and a degree in pottery in Belgium at the Academy of Visual Arts (1983) in Anderlecht, Brussels.
